i am now creating this forum for people who need help with music things. if you have a music issue (NOT NEEDING MUSICIANS), then post a reply here.
some basics:
Chromatic tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJdSgnp9YlM
Basic FL Studio tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDIsEZsalAo
Free music software options include Cakewalk, Waveform Free (i recommend this), Reaper (i also recommend this but its a bit harder to learn), and LMMS (i recommend this the least but it still works fine).
If you're on a Macbook, Garageband is a fantastic free option to use when starting out; it's what I started out with, so I can vouch for it.
If you want to go the piracy route, I recommend at least having FL studio as its what a lot of people use; it's simply good to have on hand. It's also a pretty good DAW, but it's different from the rest in how it works.
Ableton Live is another really good option to choose. It's what KawaiSprite uses to make his music.
Regardless of what software you choose, I highly recommend watching a tutorial on whatever one you picked. This is new territory, so a guiding hand is greatly useful.
If you're confused on the actual music part, learning some music theory may help you.
Learn music theory in 30 minutes (theoretically): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgaTLrZGlk0
Remember, no matter what you use, your stuff isn't going to sound amazing at first. The only way to improve is to keep making stuff. Happy composing.
I admired various information and reviews.
